Sobriety Walk
By Wanda Isaacs

September 21, 2009
Monday PM

On Saturday, September 26, 2009 in Klawock there will be an island wide Sobriety Walk. The event is intended for families and individuals.

The walk will be 1.5 miles with different stations providing water and information for people on the island on things to do to promote sobriety. There will be a native canoe float for Senior citizens that want to participate. There will be activities and prizes.

The event will begin at noon at the Klawock ANB/ANS hall and will end there with a barbecue. At 2 pm there will be a 3X3 tournament for our youth. The Veterans will be there for information on their veterans totem pole being carved. There are so many agencies to name that you just have to be there to know and see all.

If the weather is really bad we will be in the Klawock school gym and the ANB hall.

Thanks to all involved and hope to see the rest of our people there.

Thank you,

Wanda Isaacs
