Wolves
By Meghan Hogben

This is a letter to warn people who are walking dogs in the Ward Lake area. Minutes before 8 pm tonight my boyfriend and I were walking our dog on the road down to Ward Lake, they were unmistakable -- wolves, five of them, and they wanted our dog.

The howling grew close very quick which led me to believe they were spread out with a good sense of our whereabouts. I will be contacting Fish And Game in the morning, however I have spent many nights in the woods, and I have never been more frightened, I just wish to warn the public, I am sure the wolves will be looking for dogs on the north end of town this fall and winter.
