They just don't get it

I really find it hard to believe that the Ketchikan Gateway Borough Assembly feels the need to spend $55K to supposedly inform us voters all the details on why we need a new community pool.

Here's a novel idea Assembly Members that might save us taxpayers a few bucks, put all the information in the Ketchikan Daily News, then take them to the post office and have them sent out to every address in Ketchikan, or every registered voter if you want to save even more.

I'm not sure what our latest population figures are but I would think you'd get just as much support for a pool that only a small fraction of the community uses in the first place.
