Don Ross: Correction
By Doug Barry

I wrote a note about Don Ross last week where I inadvertently said I was a passenger of his on a harrowing flight when he flew for Webber Air. I meant Ketchikan Air Service, which he owned with Mike Salazar and others.

Don's history at Webber Air was long before I ever flew in a floatplane. Regardless, his prowess as a pilot proved to be our saving grace the day he dove for a quick landing at Mirror Lake in essentially zero visability. All that WWII fighter experience of his and flying in rotten Southeast weather through the years was a blessing.
