For clarification. The beach mentioned in the paper is not the Coast Guard Beach, it is the 4.5 acre beach on South Point Higgins with homes on either side, often referred to as South Point Higgins Beach or Driftwood Beach.

The third party has proposed that the Borough purchase three parcels on South Point Higgins that are currently owned by Mental Health. Then the third party would purchase all three from the Borough and donate back 1000 feet of the 1260 feet of the beach. For those of you familiar with the area, the 260 feet the third party is interested in borders Ed and Betty Burns' place (the green cabin) and extends past the rope swing.
