White Cliff Remodel - A poor choice!
By Rick Watson

If you have taken the time to read all the comments here and in the newspaper for the White Cliff remodel, you will have noticed that almost everyone for and against the proposition agree that a new senior service and arts based facility is needed! Those that say yes, want something for the seniors and arts but are ignorant to the facts pertaining to renovating an old, hazardous facility. Most of those that say no want something for the seniors and arts but also realize that the proposed renovation is a bad idea.

It's a bad idea for many reasons, just look at our past experiences. Why have we not been given a choice? Renovate the old, or build something fresh and brand new. Again the city is ram roding something at us. I despise the take it or leave it attitude and I will be voting NO on this ridiculous renovation proposal and I ask that you do the same. When I see a proposal for a new facility, with the white cliff name and site, I will vote YES and I will try to convince, as many other friends, neighbors and citizens of Ketchikan I can to vote the same.
