by Charlotte Glover

Dear Sitnews Readers,

I just wanted to remind all of you that the annual Friends of the Library booksale is coming up this weekend, October 3rd and 4th, upstairs at the Plaza Port West Mall. If you like to sort books, volunteers are welcome at the mall from about 4-8pm on Thursday, September 30th and Friday, October 1st...doors open when the first load of books arrive.

If you would like to help sell books during the weekend, please call Judith Anglin at the library to arrange a shift. The booksale will be during most open mall hours from 9-5 on Saturday and from noon-4 on Sunday. Prices remain at $1.00 for hardcover and 50 cents for paperbacks with other items as marked. There will be a lot of DVD's in this years sale thanks to a generous doner, as well as the usual abundance of good stuff. All items will be FREE after 3pm on Sunday.

We look forward to seeing you all at the mall and thanks for supporting the Friends of the Library. They provide funding for our summer reading club, author visits, special databases, new books, oral history publications, and much, much more.
