First City Republican Women's Club Endorses Jim Elkins

The First City Republican Women's Club has unanimously voted to support Jim Elkins in his state race for House of Representatives.

 Jim Elkins has served on the Ketchikan Gateway Borough Assembly and has volunteered on the Ketchikan Chamber of Commerce, Ketchikan Visitor's Bureau, American Legion, and other service organizations in the Ketchikan community.

Jim Elkins has successfully operated a profitable small business for 30 years.  He understands the political process and how to communicate well with groups and individuals on a variety of issues.

Jim Elkins supports improving Southeast Alaska's communities by building up the infrastructure so vital to a healthy economy.  He supports forward funding of education.

Mr. Elkins is a 36 year resident of Ketchikan.

First City Republican Women of Ketchikan, Alaska, is pleased to support an Alaskan for House District 1 who understands the people, the economy and the resources of Southern Southeast Alaska and who has an eye on the rest of the state

First City Republican Women's Club is a member of the Alaska Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women.  The NFRW was founded in 1938 and is of the largest women's political organizations in the country with a grassroots membership of 100,000 and 1,800 local units nationwide.
