Re: Where is the money?

Patti Fax Hickox hits the nail right on the head when she wonders about government's real interest in supporting necessary social programs. It is the easiest thing in the world for a governor, president, mayor or other elected official to pass a resolution "supporting" something or making a month an "awareness" month, but too often that action masks a previous action to cut the funding that is so crucially needed to provide that service. By the way, Patti, the Borough Assembly has reversed its earlier cut of funding for the Transitional Living Center. But it should never have cut the funding in the first place.
