Drug sales investigation leads to the arrest of two Ketchikan men

(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - Ketchikan Police Department Detectives completed a drug sales investigation and two search warrants were served Friday. 

The first warrant was in the 600 block of Deermount Street where evidence of drug sales and cash proceeds were found by investigating officers.  The second warrant was served at a North Yorktown Drive address.  During the searches suspected methamphetamine was located. 

As a result of the investigation, Byron E. Wallace Jr., age 40 of Ketchikan,  was arrested for three count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and one count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree and Mitchell A. Volpi, age 29 of Ketchikan, was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree. 

Wallace and Volpi were both transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center and held on no bail.
