Crossing Guards
By Chris Elliott

I drive through town on my way to work every morning and want to say Thank You to the crossing guards who smile and interact pleasantly with the tourists and with us locals. It really makes my day to see the smiling faces, and I know it makes the tourists feel welcome. It may seem like a small thing, but it says that Ketchikan is a friendly little town and to those who come from the Big City, I'm sure it leaves a wonderful impression.
