For those of you interested in preserving South Point Higgins Beach for public use, here is your chance to help. There is a Borough Assembly meeting September 4th at 5:30. The Assembly will consider adopting a resolution that would authorize Borough staff to enter into negotiations with the Alaska Mental Health Trust for the purchase of South Point Higgins Beach.

Ketchikan Beaches Association will have a representative speaking in support of this resolution. At one point our speaker will ask other supporters in the room to stand. Please plan on attending this meeting. Stand and be counted. Let the Borough Assembly see how many people care about South Point Higgins as a recreational area.
