Green Acres

Does anyone else remember the early sappy TV show Green Acres? Most of you have probably seen or heard of it. The idea was that country living was not inside the city. Right?

Well, neighbors in upper Bear Valley on the green belt have obviously not heard of that concept. Aside from the constantly barking dog, ducks have arrived and this morning, the crow of an obviously young rooster was heard at a very early hour (and continued much of the day).

I'm not a nature hater; nor am I opposed to folks doing what they'd like on their own property. But, and this is a big BUT, I dislike listening to other people's dogs bark; I can find no use for the rooster (I do have a battery alarm clock), and while the ducks' quacks aren't that hard on the ears, I would like to listen to my own TV or music without animal accompaniment.

I don't expect this posting to accomplish much. Just wanted to let my neighbors know that I can hear it all - all the time!
