Helping the underdogs

The measure up for vote in the next election that would restrict the money that can be donated to candidates is a bad idea.

If a person without his or her own wealth decides to run for office, they rely heavily on donations. To restrict donations would give a wealthier candidate an unfair advantage over the person relying more on donations.

For this reason I hope this measure fails along with ballot measure 2 which will cost the state more than it brings in.
