Yes, Chris, the ugly big yellow
sales tax signs were discussed at last night's Planning Commission
meeting. Unfortunately, the downtown sign ordinance changes deal
with signs on the outside - not inside - of buildings.
But I can assure you that when
the Assembly recently discussed making it clear that sales tax
collection is not optional (as some stores have been implying)
signs of that size and color were not what it had in mind!
