Drinking Water Unsafe Without a Filtration System

Why is it that the citizens allow the Ketchikan City Council and Mr. Amylon to pass the usage of cancer causing chemicals to be added to the water system? Numerous, people have stood up and fought about this issue in person at councils meetings , and the newspaper. We don't want it, but it sure got shoved down our throats literally. We have to have a safe filtration plant now.

I would love to see a PETITION started for a vote to do a filtration plant. Do you love to buy bottled water? I don't.

If people looked at the tax roles, I bet not many citizens pay taxes. Revenue probably comes from the cruise ships, and businesses that cater to them. Money doesn't stay here, it is flown out Express.

Citizens that rent, can't afford a home, or a loan, suffer. They have to take it in the a--. How many people in town are on food stamps? Welfare? Not many jobs around, or industries if you look around. Young people really don't have much of a chance here.

Look at the police record. DUI's, underage drinking, high numbers of arrests.

Please, City Council, Mayor, Business Manager, cease, STOP, will you?

This is my second letter to the editor ever. I hope I can live long enough to not get in trouble for expressing my opinion, & see some REAL , TRUTH . Facts, and data about subjects mentioned here.

About: I am a 46 year resident, pay taxes on time. I taught school here for 26 years, and loved it. I want to continue to live in Ketchikan. The taxes, and bonds that are voted on are like out of hand like the current governor's budgets which makes Alaska #49 in debt among the U.S
