RE: Bridge

I've been to the east coast for visits and they do have such BRIDGES that have a bridge that does OPEN up in the middle to allow such ships through at a certain time of the day, and yes it does back traffic up but in the long run I COULD SEE a bridge from Annette Bay to Ketchikan that would be connected to somewhere.

In the middle of the bridge they have a control building that lets a siren off to let people know the bridge is going up to allow ship passage. SO WHY NOT get a bridge?
