Anchorage, Alaska Candidate for Governor Bob Poe on Wednesday officially filed for the Office of Governor of Alaska, becoming the first Democrat to do so.

"At this critical moment in Alaska's history, we need a Governor focused on Alaska's future, a Governor who has a proven track record to get the job done, and one who will fulfill their commitment to Alaskans. It's time for a leader who holds the future of Alaska and Alaskans first and foremost, has the skills and experience to move the state forward, and who can bring Alaskans together to get things done," Poe said. "In my public and private careers I've shown I can do that."
