High fire risk levels persist across Southeast Alaska
Forest Service asks forest users to exercise caution with flames

Warmer temperatures and drier conditions persist across Southeast Alaska this week, prompting officials on the Tongass National Forest to ask that all area residents and forest users continue to be cautious when using fire.

The current weather pattern is expected to remain over Southeast Alaska for the next several days, so the Forest Service is asking the public to remain vigilant when it comes to fire safety.

If you do have any type of a fire, do not leave it unattended at any time, and please make sure you take the time to put it out completely.
