Thank You From the Family of Benjamin Noah Phillips
By Karen Galloway

Words cannot express the gratefulness in our hearts as we try to write this thank you. We were (and still are) absolutely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our friends, family and community members when our son and grandchild, "Baby Ben," was critically injured by a truck and had to be medevac'd to Harborview on June 9, 2008. That was the scariest thing any of us has ever experienced and those first few critical days were heart-wrenching. We live in a kind and caring community and your support has been more than awesome.

A special heartfelt thanks goes out to:

Ketchikan General Hospital and the ER staff working the afternoon of June 9.

Alaska Airlines for getting Shaun and Duane on right away and Mary Fabry for making it happen that Duane could leave with Shaun. Your kindness and help was greatly appreciated. To Mary Dossett, a thank you for helping Erin with flight's and such. A big thank you to the Alaska Airlines pilots Captain Tom Davis and First Officer Trevor Jones as well. The flight attendants, Leslie Tucker and Janell Boehme-Kalamar, and to Jennifer working baggage.

John Karlson for your generous offer of letting us stay at your condo. Your hospitality is humbling.

Harborview Medical Center for the wonderful care of Baby Ben.

Erin Caskey, Melanie Isner and Jessica Isner for your care and concern in helping the family, and getting organized to do so.

Dick's Auto Body, and Ketchikan Charr for their generous donations.

Thank you to Debbie Hoyt of the Local Paper for getting the wonderful ad together.

Thank you everyone for your generosity. Your kindness is appreciated more than you will ever know.

To everyone who called to see how Baby Ben and all of us were doing, you will never realize how much you helped comfort us. It was great to hear from home and elsewhere. We will remember that forever.

Especially thank you for all the prayers that were coming from all over. That was truly amazing!!

Baby Ben is such a joy in all of our lives and we believe he is a miracle. We are so grateful that he has healed so quickly from the accident and that there are so many kind and loving people in our lives that will be able to watch him grow and mature into a wonderful person. We couldn't have gotten through this without each of you.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Karen Galloway
