Attention pet owners

I am not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but I know I have and it drives me crazy.

I love going on walks with my children. Often this means walking to city park or around town somewhere. The part that drives me crazy is when I have to dedicate the majority of the time watching out for and avoiding the numerous doggy land mines that were never cleaned up by the dogs' owners.

The other issue that is driving me crazy is the number of dogs and cats that are allowed to roam the streets unaccompanied by people. I tire of trying to keep my 2 year old son calm when some unrestrained dog runs up to us and starts growling and barking at us as we are walking down the sidewalk.

Those are my complaints this week.

I have developed a remedy, however. I shall have animal control and the police on speed-dial of my cell phone and calling them about these illegal and unsafe practices. So as a warning and an apology, I hope you people out there with these pets I described do not hold me personally responsible for the results of these phone calls.
