Well it's that time again! Time for Little League tournament baseball. This year Ketchikan is the proud host of the Senior League Tournament (Ages 15-16) for Southeast Alaska from July 16-20.

The winner of the SE Tournament will vie for the State title also to be held in Ketchikan from July 22-25. The State champs will depart 7/27 to Salem, Oregon for the Regional Tournament. The Regional victor will move on to the World Series in Bangor, Maine from August 12-18. Please come join us for 6pm games at the Norman Walker field every evening during the dates listed to support our Ketchikan Senior Leaguers.

Other SE Little League tournaments going on are: 9-10's are in Juneau from July 7-14; Majors are in Petersburg from July 16-25; and Juniors are in Sitka from July 16-22. Major, Junior and Senior Little League softball are all played in Juneau.

Our Senior League Tournament Director is the ever-busy, ever involved with baseball and youth sports, Mr. Tom Craig. Coaching our Senior League All-Star team is Davey Price and assisting him is Robby Benson. If you get a chance, make sure you tell them thanks for all the hours they put in for our youth and for our town.

These home tournaments will bring many out-of-town Alaskan visitors for almost a full two weeks.

This impacts so many different areas of our town, from our hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and stores, to Alaska Airlines and the Alaska Marine Highway System. I hope you'll get the chance to welcome them into your place of business.

If you'd like to help support this tournament (which also helps raise funds for District 2 Tournament travel), please consider sponsoring a business or personal ad in our Tournament Program.

Specific player or team ads are welcome. We are also accepting non-ad donations and
contributions toward player bags. We need to provide about 40 player/coach bags full of great coupons and other Ketchikan paraphernalia. Sponsors will have a lot of exposure for a really inexpensive price! Not only will your ad be placed in our Tournament Program (and hopefully on a tournament website, too), but sponsor names will also be announced during games on the radio.

Ad prices and sizes are attached as a PDF file. Along with your payment, please include a copy of your logo (digital preferred and email is fine) and what you'd like your ad to say. If needed, we will be able to send someone to your business to collect your logo/ad information, payment and/or other contributions (just email me to let me know when it's ready). You can also mail or drop off information, donations, or contributions for the players' bags to: Rhonda Bolling, c/o Gateway City Realty, Inc., 2050 Sea Level Drive, Suite 107, Ketchikan, AK 99901. All checks should be made payable to Ketchikan Little League.

DEADLINE FOR PROGRAM SPONSORSHIP IS JULY 10TH.

Souvenir hooded sweatshirts will also be available for purchase. To Pre-Order your All-Star
Tournament 2007 sweatshirt, please email Cindy Craig: ccraig(at)kpunet.net. She'll need sizes and your contact information and preferably pre-payment. They will be available for pick-up at the tournament if you pre-order by July 7th.

Don't forget that the concession stand will be open during games so bring the family down to eat a hot dog or burger and enjoy some great baseball!!!

We appreciate your support and hope to see you at the ballpark.
