Please Please, Expand Access to the Promenade!

Today I heard there is discussion about filling in the gap between the existing development along Water Street (Harborview Park, Arctic Bar, etc.) and the new promenade. Apparently the placement of the finger pier at Casey Moran is on hold awaiting this decision.

So, I implore anyone with influence on this decision to express the wisdom of making the promenade more accessible as well as widening the space available for public use (Harborview Park). I believe there is a plan for a public art installation in this area... think if the area were large enough to accommodate musicians, mimes, other types of performing art as well... then we could truly have an area where people could meander and realize first hand what Ketchikan has to offer our visitors and our residents.
