THANK YOU KETCHIKAN
By Max Rule

July 25, 2005
Monday

We recently returned to Ketchikan from our home in Sitka where our son participated in the Junior League All-Star tournament. We were overwhelmed with the hospitality and welcome that was extended to us, our friends, and team. Thank-you for making us feel at home once again.

We would like to say thank-you to all the wonderful individuals who made the tournament possible. Without their endless hours of work, preparation and dedication, the tournament would not have been possible. A big thank-you to the umpires, scorekeepers, announcers, concession parents and field prep volunteers. There are so many that deserve recognition and thanks; Lupe Thompson, Terry and Becky Carlin, Dinah Pearson, Rich McAlpine, Ruth Craig, Bonnie Siltman and all of the others who made the tournament such a wonderful event. (Please forgive me if I have omitted anyone as you all did an outstanding job.) A special thank you to the parents who welcomed our Sitka baseball players into their homes and treated them like their own; washing uniforms, providing rides and even packing sack lunches!

Lastly; a sincere and heartfelt thank-you to Tom and Cindy Craig who have been our inspiration in getting involved with our own children as well as the youth of the community. Thank-you for all the years of coaching, dedication and support to the kids. You are an inspiration to all parents who want to get involved!

Thank-you Ketchikan for a wonderful tournament!
