FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS WHY SITNEWS
EXISTS

It is never dull to read the Letters
to the Editor on Sitnews - and it never should be limited to
only like minded opinion on any given topic, in my opinion. Sitnews
exists because if you care about the DIVERSITY of the population
of your community, you should never want your thought processes
to stop you from inquiring as to what the opinion on topics is
of your neighbor or your neighbor's neighbor. For many of us
the reality of the bridge (and/or bridges) is a very hurtful
one - a issue that resonates painfully as we look out over the
water and imagine the very geography of our little part of the
world CHANGED FOREVER on a wish and a prayer of a "promised"
economic outcome "some day". Some of us are just not
reeled in easily by "suspect" promises of MONEY. We
may be the minority, we may have already publicly testified and
written our legislators and wished an otherwise outcome - but
our opinion, on Sitnews and anywhere else still matters - and
should still be a respectful consideration for our neighbors
to hold onto - whether we agree with each other or not.
