RE: Ferries? WHAT ferries...

Dear Sitnews,
I winced and laughed when I
read June Allen's letter about Channel 11 in Anchorage running
the old ferry coverage. I can't tell you how many times I have
chatted with clerks in Anchorage about Ketchikan only to
have them ask me if I "live in the Bush." It's rare
that I run across anyone up north who actually knows where the
fourth largest city in Alaska is! I'm with June- it's frustrating,
embarrasing and laughable. No wonder we have such a hard time
getting funding for regional projects. Maybe we should lead
the movement for a new state- South Alaska!
We miss you in Ketchikan, June!
