This is in response to John R. Engle's question.

This is what I have read regarding Greenpeace's views:

"Forest campaigner Jeremy Paster told the crowd that Greenpeace would like to see a moratorium on large-scale, industrial logging on public land nationwide. The group would accept small-scale, sustainable timber harvests in already roaded portions of the Tongass, he added.

"We're not zero cut," he said. "We're not saying no more logging on the Tongass."
