5 ­ 7pm: Art Opening, Juried Art Show, Mainstay Gallery, 716 Totem Way

7:30pm: The 6th annual Gigglefeet Dance Festival, Kayhi Auditorium

Saturday, August 2nd

8:30am: Registration for Fun Run: in front of the Methodist Church, Grant/Main Street

9:00am: Fun Run: The one-mile children's run (5K and 10K walkers also start at 9:00), Sponsored by the Ketchikan Runners Club

9:30am: Fun Run: 5K and 10K, Sponsored by the Ketchikan Runners Club

9:30am: Slug Weigh-in for the Big Slug Contest, Methodist Church parking lot. Sponsored by the Department of Fish & Game.

10am­5pm: Artist, Food, and Game Booths Open. State Office Building parking garage and the Methodist Church parking lot

10am­5pm: JURIED ART SHOW ON DISPLAY, Mainstay Gallery, 716 Totem Way

10:30am: Slug Races, Methodist Church parking lot, Sponsored by the Department of Fish & Game

11:30am: Pie-eating Contest, Methodist Church parking lot, sponsored by WestCoast Cape Fox Lodge and Tatsuda's IGA

12:30­5pm: Battle of the Bands, Performance Stage Tent in the Methodist Church parking lot

1:00pm: Spelling Bee, Methodist Church Sanctuary, sponsored by Community Connections

2:00pm: Trivia Contest, Methodist Church Sanctuary, sponsored by Friends of the Library

3:00pm: GREAT BLUEBERRY RACE, Main Street, to benefit the Ketchikan Youth Court

3:30pm: THE GREAT BLUEBERRY DEBATE, Methodist Church Sanctuary, sponsored by Toastmasters

6:00pm: fourth Annual raindrop raffle, Walker Field, Sponsored by Ketchikan Rotary 2000

6:30­8:30pm: CHARR'S 8th ANNUAL KETCHIKAN BEER FESTIVAL, Great Alaska Lumberjack Arena. Sponsored by CHARR.

7 & 9 pm: Fish Pirate's Daughter. Ketchikan's original musical melodrama. At Steamers Restaurant. Sponsored by First City Players.

Sunday, August 3rd

2:00pm: 12th Annual Richard Brautigan & Dick whitaker Memorial Trout Fishing in America poetry slam and Humpie Haikus reloaded, at the New York Cafe, 207 Stedman St. Sponsored by Soho Coho Gallery and the Ketchikan Coffee Company

7:30pm: 6th Annual Gigglefeet Dance Festival, Ketchikan High School Auditorium
