(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - The kids and I visit Bayview Cemetery and find Ed Zastro cleaning headstones on Memorial Day.

I worked with Ed Zastro and Doug Vig while teaching students to make and paint the memorial day crosses.

We also visited my father Carl Jackson's grave and step-father Sam Young's grave.

Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. 

Memorial Day 2020 occured on Monday, May 25.
