Living Within Means

By Lance Clark

I think Senator Gardner shows us exactly what the fiscal problem is. Living within our means is not a foreign idea to her, it's an evil one! To be good people we have to always spend more than we have. I don't know her personally but her way of thinking sounds insane.

Of course we have live within our means, that's how life works. What ever we don't cover now our children will be on the hook for, and that's really mean! The legislature needs to make tough choices, I know, but taxing the working class more is not the answer. We'll just lose more of the working class and be right back in the same situation. If the State starts taking an income tax than that's less money spent in the community, resulting in job loses in the private sector which means less people working. You just can't tax us into prosperity, it won't work.
