Tuesday

(SitNews) Thorne Bay, Alaska - The U.S. Forest Service is installing bridges in the Thorne Bay Ranger District and announced today the closure of two roads in July.

Forest Service Road 20 will temporary be closed at mile marker 117 from July 10, 2014 to July 15, 2014. Forest Service Road 27 (north of Whale Pass) will temporary be closed at mile marker 4.3 from July 21, 2014 to July 26, 2014.

The bridge installations are part of the Prince of Wales fish passage project. The new bridges improve access for fish to travel to upstream to spawning and rearing areas.
