Noise Pollution: Continued
By Sharon Preston

I'm happy to see my letter got some attention. I have received some calls at home in support of my view. However, some of you may have missed the main point. "The firing range within city limits and close proximity to homes is a bad idea" was my main point. The floatplanes are a whole other issue.

I thought it was a good idea to write and let people know about the firing range. So many people I had talked to didn't know about it. I thought putting letters in Sitnews and The Daily News would be the best way to reach/inform the most people. And now I'm writing again. Asking those who either want to know more about the range or even want to stop it, to please call or write the borough planning manager and the borough assembly city council members.

(I shouldn't have to quote any of the following from the USA constitution. We should all know it well!) It's an individual's right in this country to pursue happiness. Happiness is different for everyone. We also all have a right to our own opinions and free speech. Ridicule and sarcasm doesn't make a valid argument for any issue.
