Fireworks on the night of July 3rd?
By Tom LeCompte

I usually think of this after the fact, but since most of us work early on the 5th of July, would it be possible for the fireworks committee to consider shooting off the 4th of July celebration on the night of the 3rd. I know Juneau does it that way and usually anything they do makes me want to run the other way.... but it makes sense. Some can sleep in a little on the holiday, enjoy the parade, see the Logging Show, Duck Races et al, and then not be too wiped out from the day to stay up as late as necessary for viewing on a work night.

Just a thought,
