When SITNEWS first started out almost 8 years ago (has it really been that long?), Peter York was one of the more interesting contributors to Viewpoints. His letters often evoked strong responses from folks. Many thought that "Peter York" was the nom de plume for someone and they insisted that there was no "real" Peter York. People even bet money who the "real" Peter York was. I had the pleasure once of meeting the real Peter York. Yes, he really did exist, and he was a wonderful, intelligent, and generous gentleman. It is with sadness I read of his passing. His keen mind and sharp pen will be missed.
