Ketchikan music members did it again! Another evening of great talent giving to the community so much energy - so much wonderful music.

One thing that makes it all so worthwhile: it is evident each band member is pleased to be a part of a group that brings the 'joy of music' to family and neighbors.

I looked up at that stage and saw so many aspects of our community: medical, banking, government, parents, grandparents, students, teachers, retired, presently employed - the list goes on. Many soloists were featured. It was evident that both directors were pleased with the performance given by their band members. All this for such a small admission charge: donation only, as it goes towards scholarships "to help a Kayhi senior who plans to study the arts in college." 2 lucky seniors were chosen as this year's recipients..

THANK YOU McPherson Music Director, Roy McPherson and Kayhi Jazz Band Director, Julie Cron: THANK YOU to each of the band members: for this wonderful evening of filling the auditorium with 'the sound of music'.
