The American Flag

Monday May 31, is Memorial Day. As we salute the American Flag,
and remember those whose coffins were draped by the flag, let
us pay tribute to all veterans who served their country, and
defended the rights and privileges which we, the living enjoy.
In a state wide VFW sponsored essay contest about the American
Flag, Treva Widness placed 1st for eighth grade and Mary Flora
placed second for seventh grade.Congratulations to two future
guardians of the liberties of this fine country. We honor two
young women who know why we are privileged to live in this town
and in the United States of America.
