Slumlords

On rent and landlords I really need to add my two cents. I am
a homeowner but have been involved with social services which
I was an advocate.
There are true slumlords in Ketchikan. They charge an atrocious
price for ugly units. Absolutely ugly and definitely not family
friendly. Then to top it off the rent is skyhigh. If I had to
be a landlord I would make sure units are kept up and that means
stoves, refrigerators, etc. Slumlords care only about MONEY.
I have had first hand experience in dealing with them.
In my many years of social services I had witnessed one or two
landlords, who really did keep up their units.
