HELP SAVE OUR DUNGENESS!!!!!
By Kimberly Peters

The Alaska Board of Fisheries has decided to open commercial Dungeness fishing in the Ketchikan area on June 15th, 2009. This just happens to be when the crabs are breeding and have soft shells, this hasn't been done since the 80's because they almost WIPED the species OUT!!

PLEASE WRITE TO OUR CONGRESS MEN AND WOMEN AND GOV. SARAH PALIN OR BETTER YET CALL AND COMPLAIN

Right on the Board of Fisheries home page it states "The board of fisheries main role is to conserve and develop the fisheries resources of the state."
I don't see this as conservation at all and I don't see how anyone could.

This should not be allowed to happen the board is not listening to fisherman, fish and game or all the biologists that are saying this is a terrible idea. We need to get everyone to take a stand.

If you value this resource at all you will take a minute and e-mail Gov. Palin at www.gov.state.ak.us/govmail/php
And the Alaska Board of Fisheries at www.boards.adfg.state.ak.us
And anyone else you can think of

We LOVE our DUNGIES and would hate to see their population diminish in this or any other area.

Thank you
