Three strikes
By Tom Ferry

Thank you Mr. Worrel for the look into your group and your viewpoint on what happened. I believe that some kind of method of written notice needs to be implemented as you suggested so things are more clear cut to the parent, student, etc.

Maybe a three strikes and you're out approach where if a student has an unexcused failure to show at an event or meeting that student would get a strike slip. Failure to do other things in the group will denote another strike. Then the student would know that if they get one more, they are out.

I will bet once a student gets a strike they will shape up and realize the seriousness of their position. It also puts more discipline and structure in your program .

I am sure you can come up with a system where the parent and student will know exactly where they stand . This will avoid the shock of getting cut a week before the final selection.

Thank you again.
