Dear Neighbors,
It appears that the web site address I provided concerning the
city report on KPU telecommunications and union activities does
not work properly. The web address is: ftp://www.city.ketchikan.ak.us/pub/agenda/080501KK.PDF
Alternatively, readers can go to the City of Ketchikan website,
click on Mayor and City Council, scroll down to listing of City
Council meetings, select agenda for May 1 meeting, and then scroll
down to item 9b. Click on the line item that begins "Allegations
regarding friends of KPU etc." It may take a while for
the document to load. It is the city manager's report on KPU
telecommunications and accusations of improper behavior. It
will describe a very different scenario concerning management
of the phone company from that described by certain vocal union
employees. Folks should read it to stay informed and get a balanced
view of the situation.
