Think you have seen it all?

Think you have seen it all, can say been there, done that?
Today I was able to participate in a field trip to the eagle
hatchery at City Park. If you haven't been in a while it has
changed. I figured I had seen it so was just going along. It
was great that the tour guides where working on their spiel with
us and fine tuning with us for the coming tour season.
As we rounded the raceways what a nice surprise to discover a
bird show with a wonderful group of feathered creatures. The
presenter was outstanding, she was comfortable around the birds
and with public speaking. She was patient with the students
and their questions. It was really amazing to see her and the
birds, hear their stories and understand why they were there
for care and protection. Gone was the gift store and in its
place was a wonderful experience with an outstanding bird handler
with the birds she clearly cares deeply about.
So thank you for reminding me that having been there done that
is not always true and if you haven't been there lately, go check
it out. It is hard to say who stole the show, the flock or their
keeper.
