Ketchikan, Alaska - The Revilla High School Graduation held Friday evening at the Ted Ferry Civic Center was indeed a celebration. There was laughter and sometimes tears as the 2005 graduates celebrated their achievements and said goodbye to their beloved school and staff.

Prior to the graduation ceremony, a dinner was held which was well attended by the graduates' families and friends.

The main speaker for the evening was retiring principal Charley Jones who has been the principal of Revilla for the past 13 years.

The theme for the 2005 Graduation was "True Heroes Are Made Within These Walls". And the true heroes, the graduating Seniors of 2005 are: Jennifer Astry; Michael Bellanich; Tanner Birch; Sabina Blackwell; Sarah Bray; Lyssa Cox; Danielle Grams; Jonathan Hamilton; Ronald Miles; Shannon Orr; Chelsea Palmer; Jamie Palmer; Monica Ripley; Jordan Rymer; Rachel Schuerger; Jeffrey Tacker and Kenneth White.

The Revilla staff was also seated on the stage with the graduating Seniors: Jackie Keizer; Clare Patton; Dave Smith; Laurie Gillet; Mary Cooper; Tom Lord; Megan Heaton; Lillian Smith; Jamie Elkins; Colin Patton and Matt Hamilton.

Also attending the ceremony was School Superintendent Harry Martin. The ceremony ended with Martin saying congratulations to the graduates and a heart-felt goodbye to Charley Jones which Martin followed with a hug.
