Ketchikan, Alaska - Denise Perry, Lead Office Assistant at Southeast Surgical Clinic, has been named Ketchikan General Hospital (KGH) Employee of the Month by a committee of her peers. A KGH employee since 1988, Perry manages a busy clinic office, while also completing coding and charge entry, and overseeing staffing needs.
Before moving into her current position, Perry worked for eight years in the Patient Financial Services Department of the hospital. "I have seen a lot of changes, including several computer conversions, new construction projects, and remodels," Perry said.
The co-worker who nominated her stated "Denise Perry has been the 'glue' that keeps the staff at Southeast Surgical Clinic together It seems like Denise is always taking a class to learn skills that will enhance her work performance, and she has the unique gift of making people feel better after they have spoken with her."
