For those of us who took advantage of the opportunity the Ketchikan Community Concert Band performance of Sunday afternoon was a magnificent and masterful performance. The breadth and extent of our local talent never ceases to amaze me.

For those of you who missed the show my regrets and you need to know that you really missed a great show and some marvelous music.

What we all need to do is ensure that the fall concert is a much better attended affair and that the necessary effort takes place to fill the house with 600+ persons in attendance rather than the 200+ who were apparently the only ones lucky enough to attend this spring concert.

So George Shaffer suggested to me this morning that the formation of a "Boosters' Club" would be appropriate and I heartily concur. Is the community interested?

I would certainly hope so.
