More Drug Arrests

(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - Officers of the Ketchikan Police Department concluded an undercover operation Tuesday which resulted in the arrest of more Ketchikan individuals on drug related charges.

Officers arrested James Inouye, 19 years of age of Ketchikan Alaska, for three counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree and two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.  Inouye is charged with selling heroin on several different occasions to a confidential informant.

Ketchikan Police officers along with the Alaska State Troopers and SEACAD arrested Jonathon Wilson, 23 years of age of Ketchikan Alaska, for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree.  Wilson is charged with selling heroin to a confidential informant.  Officers executed a search warrant at a Knudson Cove residence in connection with his arrest and seized about 55 grams of heroin, street value of about $34,000.00.  Officers also found 196 ecstasy pills, street value of about $5,000.00.

On April 13th, officers arrested Terri Bermudez, 42 years of age of Ketchikan Alaska, for two counts of   Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and one count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.  Bermudez is charged with selling methamphetamine on several different occasions to a confidential informant.

On April 13th, officers executed a search warrant at a West Sesame Street address in connection with the case.  Officers arrested BURT WHITESIDES, 49 years of age of Ketchikan Alaska, for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, possession of methamphetamine.

On April 9th, officers of the Ketchikan Police Department and Juneau Drug Enforcement Officers, working with information from the U.S. Postal Inspectors executed a search warrant on a Carlanna Avenue residence and arrested Simon E. Milne, 31 years of age of Ketchikan Alaska, for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a class C Felony for possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance.   

U.S. Postal Inspectors had intercepted a package going to Mr. Milne which contained about 102 grams of marijuana.  During the search warrant officers seized drug paraphernalia, packaging martial and scales.

Charges are merely accusations and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
