Front Street Rebirth
By Chris Elliott

Wow! As I drove by where the old Revilla Theatre was towards the tunnel this afternoon, I was amazed at the beautiful building being uncovered on the corner across from the Sourdough Bar. Many thanks to the developer who had the vision to restore it to its former glory.

Then it was on to the Reid Building (old Borough offices building). I stopped in at Bella Boutique and Sweet Mermaids and was delighted to see locals. The finishing touches on these establishments are a much-needed facelift for Downtown Ketchikan. Again, many thanks to the developers.

It's been a long time coming, but things are really looking up, and I will again be proud to show off my hometown.
