Taxes

Tourism is a double-edged sword.

I just recently paid 14.25% tax to rent a house in South Padre Island, Texas. I'm sure when I get there and buy groceries, I will pay 14.25% tax. I assume the locals that live there also have to pay the same 14.25% tax.

Seems the grass is definitely greener in Ketchikan.
