Parking
By Rhett Jackson

I agree with Jackie Keizer; parking on Deermount is already strained to the max as these old city houses weren't planned as well as other newer homes. If the city would buy the rock quarry behind Deermount and turn it into a parking lot that might be an option but one has to wonder if taking the parking off Deermount by fiat caters to folks who aren't residents. I would have to bring my car up the 48 steps to my house if this happens.

I would like to add that the parking lot that is available on lower Deermont is a disgrace. I pick vodka bottles out of it sometimes by the hundred on a monthly basis (some poor soul is putting a hurtin' on their liver). Then there is an old metal tank and a tree stump to stare at that present the lot in such a way that some must add their waste to it because perhaps they are fooled into thinking the landfill starts there.
