Regarding Tax Day Tea Party
By Connie Emmert, Laura Antonsen, and Dick Coose

April 21, 2009
Tuesday

Thanks to all of you who came out to the sign waving Tax Day Tea Party!  It was a great turn out, and you were true patriots for standing out there in the cold and wind.  We and our fellow tea party patriots across the country made history and surely we have begun to make an impact in congress.

We would also extend our apologies to those of you who would have joined us but didn't hear about the protest until after the fact.  Our decision to have the party was made just a week prior and we didn't have enough time or means to advertise better.  We did have one ad in the paper and in Sitnews as well as some fliers around town.  However, it wasn't enough to reach everyone.  We promise that we will be better organized next time.

There is still time to sign the petition.  It will be at Island Tile and Marble, 306 Main and at A Woman's Place, 355 Carlanna Lake Road through Tuesday.  Our thanks to these businesses for providing a place to hold it until everyone has a chance to sign.

Sincerely,

The Tea Party Patriots:
