Shouldn't Alaskans get deals too?

It's been a while since we have taken a vacation off of the rock. I always seem to browse the internet to find a special that Alaska Air might have, sometimes the extra few dollars saved on a ticket can mean a nice break away from island life.

The funny thing is, I haven't seen a special out of Ketchikan in quite some time, and actually today I noticed there are no specials out of Alaska at all. Shouldn't we be getting a break on a ticket instead of Portland or Los Angeles who can decide on multiple airlines to take their trips on? It's just odd to me that an airline called Alaska can justify having no specials for the people who live in that state.
